Ornamental Chili Pepper Machine Embroidery Design is a downloadable digital file featuring one horizontal pepper motif with decorative curls resembling flames. It is created for computerized embroidery machines and supplied in one original size. This is not a finished patch, printed transfer, fabric item or physical product.

The combination of a recognizable chili pepper shape and ornamental scrollwork gives the design a fiery but elegant character. Use it on kitchen towels, cocktail napkins, BBQ aprons, table linens, hot sauce gift bags, fabric bottle covers or cooking accessories for chili and salsa lovers.

Required embroidery hoop

Size 96.8x43.6 mm (3.81x1.72") — Hoop: 100x100 mm (4x4")

The design fits horizontally within a 100x100 mm embroidery field. The 4x4 designation refers to the machine’s embroidery field, not to the physical outer dimensions of the plastic hoop.

Where to embroider the chili pepper

  • kitchen towels and tea towels;
  • BBQ and cooking aprons;
  • cocktail napkins and placemats;
  • salsa, taco-night and hot sauce gift bags;
  • fabric covers for spice jars or bottles;
  • apron pockets and reusable shopping bags;
  • small restaurant, café or outdoor-kitchen textiles.

Its horizontal proportions make the motif especially useful above a towel border, near the lower corner of an apron or beside a short embroidered word. If you add lettering in embroidery software, place it above or below the pepper and preserve enough empty space so the ornamental curls remain readable.

Fabric and stabilizer recommendations

Stable woven cotton, linen, canvas and smooth kitchen-towel fabric are practical choices. Use a medium-weight tear-away stabilizer underneath and hoop the fabric without stretching it. The design has a relatively low stitch count, but a test stitch is still recommended because lightweight linen and loosely woven cotton may react differently to the directional ornamental stitches.

For a terry towel, place tear-away stabilizer underneath and a lightweight water-soluble topper over the pile. The topper prevents the narrow curls and decorative details from sinking between the loops. Remove the topper carefully after embroidery and dissolve the remaining fragments according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Thread and color ideas

Use 40-weight polyester embroidery thread for kitchen towels and aprons that will be washed frequently. Polyester withstands repeated laundering and abrasion well. Rayon or viscose thread creates a softer, more lustrous finish for decorative napkins, placemats and gift textiles.

Classic red, chili orange or deep burgundy emphasizes the fiery character of the pepper. A single dark red shade creates a graphic appearance on natural linen, while contrasting red and orange tones can make the ornamental curls look more dimensional. Always test the selected colors on the actual fabric before stitching the finished item.

Project idea: a hot sauce gift set

Stitch the chili pepper near the lower edge of a cotton kitchen towel and combine it with a bottle of hot sauce, a salsa bowl or a set of spice jars. For a coordinated collection, repeat the same thread colors on an apron pocket or fabric bottle bag. This creates a focused handmade gift for barbecue cooks, chili enthusiasts and taco-night hosts.
