Silver Key with Crowned Heart is a digital set of two machine embroidery designs. Its bow combines a heart, crown and scrollwork, while the slim shaft ends in a shaped bit.
The small size works for a measured series of accents on a dress, jacket or bag. The larger key is a clear central motif for a clutch, garment panel or textile picture. This purchase is a download for an embroidery machine, not a finished item.

Placement ideas
Use the small key in a vertical or alternating group on a dark dress front, jacket panel or bag. Use the large key alone where the complete crowned-heart bow can remain visible. Print the chosen size at 100% before marking, then leave clear space above the crown and below the bit.

Questions and answers
How can I embroider several small silver keys in an even series on black knitwear?
Print the small size at 100% and mark one shared placement line plus the center of every key before hooping; do not use the preceding embroidery as the next reference point. Use a 2.5 oz/yd² (about 85 g/m²) medium cutaway such as Gunold Totally Stable 2085. Hold the backing to the knit with a light coat of Gunold KK100 temporary spray adhesive, then hoop both layers without stretching them. The stable backing and common reference line keep the long shafts parallel instead of gradually drifting across the garment.
How should I embroider the large key on a faux-leather clutch?
Embroider the clutch panel before assembly. Hoop a medium cutaway backing only, spray it lightly with Gunold KK100 away from the machine, and position the faux leather on top from the printed template. This avoids permanent hoop marks in the faux leather. Test first on an offcut: needle holes, surface finish and adhesive response differ between materials. Keep the crowned-heart bow away from a seam or flap edge so its outline stays complete.
Why does the large key use two grey Madeira shades when the small key uses one?
The small version is prepared with Madeira Classic 40 1288 Grey. The large version uses 1010 Silver Grey together with 1288 Grey so the crown, heart, scrollwork and shaft retain visible relief on dark fabric. Do not replace both with an arbitrary single grey if the key is going on black: the large motif can lose its internal definition. Use the Madeira numbers in the supplied chart because machine-screen colors are not reliable.
Will the crowned heart stay clear on velour, fleece or terry cloth?
Choose a short, even pile. Hoop the fabric with a 2.5–3 oz/yd² (about 85–102 g/m²) cutaway backing and a layer of Sulky Solvy water-soluble topping. The topping prevents the pile from covering the small crown points and heart openings. Remove the topping after stitching, then trim the cutaway from the back while leaving about 1/2" (12.7 mm) around the embroidery.
Can I resize the file for another hoop?
Please order a professional resize through the design-resize service. Do not scale the file in machine software or on the embroidery machine. If a file is changed independently, the buyer accepts responsibility for the result; the store guarantees only the published or professionally recalculated file.
