By knowing the speed of your embroidery machine, you can find out how long it will take to embroider a design.

Filigree Scrollwork Border Machine Embroidery Design is a long one-color ornamental motif composed of curling leaves, arabesque scrolls and symmetrical floral details. Use it along tablecloth edges, towels, cushion panels, jacket fronts, dresses, blouses and other projects that need an elegant decorative border.
The design can be stitched in gold for a classic luxury effect or adapted to black, ivory, silver, burgundy or another color that contrasts with the project fabric. This product contains files for computerized embroidery machines, not a finished textile item.
Color sequence: one color without thread changes
Formats: .dst, .pec, .vip, .hus, .pes, .exp, dat, jef, .vp3, .xxx
The smallest file requires a true embroidery height of 180 mm. The remaining files need fields in the 200, 220, 240 or 260 mm height classes. Because several files sit close to common hoop limits, compare the exact listed dimensions with the machine’s actual usable field.
The narrow shape also works in long rectangular hoops such as 100x300 mm when the machine supports the full selected file. Load the design and run a complete boundary trace before hooping the final item.
Mark the finished tablecloth edge, hem allowance and one continuous placement line before embroidery. Use full-size paper templates to position every border section at the same distance from the finished edge.
This straight motif does not automatically form a seamless square corner. For a framed tablecloth layout, combine it with the matching Filigree Decorative Corner Machine Embroidery Design. Test one border-to-corner connection before stitching all four sides.
Do not align each new section only by eye. Draw one continuous horizontal or vertical guideline, mark the center of every repeat and maintain the same measured spacing between motifs.
Stitch two sections on a sample first. The decorative ends may look better with a small planned gap rather than being placed directly against each other.
For stable cotton, twill or tightly woven linen, test a medium tear-away such as OESD Ultra Clean & Tear. For loose linen, flexible clothing panels or frequently handled home textiles, use permanent cutaway backing.
For terry towels, keep the structural backing underneath and add water-soluble topping above the loops so the fine scrolls remain visible. Read the OESD Ultra Clean & Tear stabilizer guide.
Fabric weight in g/m² = sample weight in grams × 10,000 ÷ (length in cm × width in cm).
Required stabilizer g/m² = fabric g/m² ÷ 3.
Embroider a flat jacket, dress or blouse panel before construction whenever possible. Mark the final seam allowances, button line, zipper position and garment center before placing the design.
For a paired front placement, mirror the second border in embroidery software and test both sides together. Do not independently resize the original files.
Yes. Rotate the file when the machine or embroidery software supports rotation, then confirm that both sides still fit the actual hoop field.
Yes, but the straight border alone does not automatically create finished corners. Plan the layout with the matching corner design and test the connection first.
Use one continuous guideline, mark every design center and measure the spacing rather than aligning each repeat only to the previous embroidery.
Use medium tear-away on stable, tightly woven linen. Choose cutaway support when the linen is loose, soft or likely to shift during a long border sequence.
Yes. Topping helps prevent the narrow filigree lines from sinking between the towel loops. It does not replace the backing underneath.
Yes. The supplied sequence uses one thread color without color changes.
No. Independent resizing may damage density, underlay, stitch length and the definition of the narrow scrolls. Use the professional Resize of Design service when another size is required.
