Free Feliz Natal e Próspero Ano Novo Machine Embroidery Design
Feliz Natal e Próspero Ano Novo is a Portuguese Christmas and New Year greeting, meaning “Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.” This free one-colour machine embroidery file sets the message in tall flowing script, with matching ornamental flourishes above and below. Use it on cloth napkins, guest towels, placemats, table runners, bread-basket liners or other festive dining textiles where a vertical holiday inscription is wanted. This is a digital embroidery file, not a finished item.

Helpful embroidery notes
Which fabric and stabilizer suit this tall lettering?
Choose firm, tightly woven cotton or linen for a crisp inscription on napkins and table runners. For a smooth, stable napkin, hoop the fabric with a quality tear-away backing. If the linen is open-weave, soft or unstable, use an extra backing layer or a light fusible backing first. Always test stitch on the same fabric and stabilizer combination before embroidering the final textile.
How do I keep the vertical inscription straight on a ready-made napkin?
Press the napkin first and mark its vertical grain and intended centre. Hoop the stabilizer and fabric together without stretching either layer, then run the machine’s boundary trace before stitching. A machine basting box is useful on ready-made napkins because it holds the fabric to the backing and reduces drift between the top and bottom flourishes.
What changes when stitching the design on a terry towel?
Place water-soluble topping over the pile and stable tear-away backing underneath. The topping keeps towel loops from covering the fine letter strokes; remove it after stitching according to the stabilizer instructions. Check the full design boundary first so the lower flourish remains clear of hems and bulky towel borders.
How is this $0 design added to an order?
