Hoop Size for Christmas Monogram T

This design fits an 80x80 mm (3.15x3.15") embroidery field. A 100x100 mm (3.94x3.94", commonly called 4x4") hoop is recommended for easier positioning on a napkin.

Important: the design is 78.0 mm wide, so it will not fit a true 3x3 inch field measuring only 76.2x76.2 mm. Use an actual 80x80 mm hoop or a standard 100x100 mm hoop.

Personalized Christmas Linen Napkin

Use the letter T to create a designated napkin for a family member or dinner guest whose first or last name begins with T. The poinsettia, pine cones and evergreen details make the initial decorative enough to use without an additional frame.

Fold the napkin exactly as it will appear on the plate before choosing the embroidery position. Place a full-size printed template on the visible front section and keep the outer stitches at least 20 mm (0.79") away from the finished hem.

How to Embroider the Monogram on Linen

Prewash and press the linen before marking the design center. For stable medium-weight linen, hoop the fabric together with a 50–70 g/m² medium-weight tear-away stabilizer. If the linen has a loose weave, add lightweight fusible support to the wrong side before hooping.

Use a fresh 75/11 sharp embroidery needle and do not stretch the linen in the hoop. Rayon thread gives a soft decorative shine for formal table linens, while polyester thread is more practical for napkins that will be washed frequently. Choose a bobbin thread close to the main embroidery colors if the reverse side will remain visible.
