The Checkered teapot with snowdrops machine embroidery design is perfect for decorating textiles, especially kitchen towels. This elegant and delicate design is available in 4 sizes and is intended for medium hoops.
What fabric to choose for embroidery?
For kitchen towels, fabric with a density of 200–250 g/m² (6–7.5 oz per square yard) is ideal. This ensures good support for the embroidery and durability of the finished product.
How to embroider on kitchen towels?
Which stabilizers to use?
- Tear-away stabilizer with a density of 50–60 g/m² (1.5–2 oz per square yard) – suitable for lightweight towels.
- Water-soluble stabilizer with a density of 20–30 g/m² (0.5–1 oz per square yard) – used on top for smooth stitches.
Steps:
- Attach a tear-away stabilizer under the towel.
- Place a water-soluble stabilizer on top to prevent stitches from "sinking" into the fabric.
- Hoop the towel together with the bottom stabilizer using standard hoops.
Popular stabilizer brands: Madeira, Sulky, Gunold.
