What this design is: Ornate Dragon Fruit Machine Embroidery Design is a stylized tropical pitaya motif composed of decorative filigree elements. It belongs to the Royal Present Ornate Embroidery Designs collection and is intended for kitchen textiles, cookbook covers, cafe linens, patio cushions and ornamental textile panels. This is a digital machine embroidery file, not a finished embroidered item.
Size: 64.4x99.2 mm (2.54x3.91 "), Stitches: 9668

Minimum hoop / embroidery field: 100x100 mm (4x4") or larger.
This embroidery field is available on compact machines such as the Brother PE545, PE570 and SE700. When using a 100x100 mm (4x4") field, center the design carefully and run the machine’s outline or trace check before starting.
The vertical shape works well on tea towels, apron panels, cookbook covers and narrow decorative sections of cafe textiles. For a coordinated restaurant or patio collection, repeat the motif on cushion covers or alternate it with other ornamental fruits.
Use the full-size printable template supplied with the design to mark the embroidery center and horizontal and vertical axes. When creating a repeated arrangement, position all paper templates before hooping so the distance and direction of every fruit can be checked as one composition.
For stable woven cotton, canvas or outdoor fabric, hoop the material together with a medium-weight tear-away stabilizer. If the fabric is flexible or the finished item will be washed and used frequently, choose a lightweight cut-away stabilizer for permanent support.
Always test the design on the same fabric and stabilizer combination intended for the finished project.
Use a metallic embroidery needle, reduce the machine speed and adjust the upper-thread tension only after testing. A separate thread stand can create a smoother path from the spool to the needle. Avoid applying silicone products unless both the lubricant manufacturer and your embroidery machine manual explicitly allow them, especially on machines with computerized thread-tension systems.
Create a tropical kitchen or cafe textile set by pairing the dragon fruit with the Ornate Orange Machine Embroidery Design. Alternate the two motifs on towels or place them on opposite ends of a table runner.
For a larger tropical composition, add the Ornate Pineapple Machine Embroidery Design. Keep the same thread palette across all motifs to make separate embroidered items look like one collection.
