Vintage Ornamental Gift Box Machine Embroidery Design is a digital embroidery file featuring a wrapped present with a decorative bow and vintage ornamental detailing. The design creates a large festive focal point for Christmas pillows, table runners, reusable fabric gift bags, holiday panels and elegant celebration décor. No physical gift box, fabric or finished embroidered item is included.
Size: 129.8x160.6 mm (5.11x6.32 "), Stitches: 28121
Formats: .dst, .pec, .exp, .hus, .vip, .pes, .dat, .vp3, .sew, .tab, .jef
Minimum embroidery field: 130x180 mm (5.12x7.09"), commonly called a 5x7" hoop.
The design itself is 129.8x160.6 mm, so it fits within a true 130x180 mm embroidery field. The name “5x7” is rounded: always check the exact embroidery field supported by your machine rather than the physical outside dimensions of the hoop.
This field is supported by embroidery machines such as Brother PE800, PE900, SE1900 and SE2000, as well as other models with a genuine 130x180 mm embroidery area. Read more about the Brother PE800 and its 5x7 embroidery field.
For medium-weight linen or cotton, use a firm tear-away stabilizer underneath. A stabilizer around 60–80 g/m² is a practical starting point for this detailed 28,121-stitch motif, but the final choice should reflect the fabric weight and weave.
A water-soluble topping is not normally required on smooth linen or cotton.
Velvet gives the ornamental gift box a rich, luxurious appearance, but it should not be compressed firmly inside the hoop. Hoop the stabilizer first and attach the velvet over it using temporary embroidery adhesive or another suitable floating method. Place water-soluble film over the velvet so that the decorative stitches remain above the pile.
When the reverse will be hidden inside a pillow or lined bag, cut-away stabilizer can provide lasting support. For projects where the reverse remains visible, select a firm tear-away stabilizer and test the combination before embroidering.
The gift box can be recolored for different celebrations. Antique gold, champagne, silver or metallic accents can emphasize the ornamental curls and bow. Metallic thread is optional and is not required to stitch the supplied design.
If using metallic thread, follow the thread manufacturer’s needle recommendation, reduce the embroidery speed and check the upper tension on a test sample. The Gutermann Sulky Sliver Metallic Thread review explains an alternative way to add festive shine.

Yes, provided your machine has an exact 130x180 mm (5.12x7.09") embroidery field. The design measures 129.8x160.6 mm.
It is suitable for Christmas pillows, table runners, fabric gift bags, large stocking panels, wall décor and reusable holiday wrapping.
Use a firm tear-away stabilizer under stable woven linen. Test the fabric and stabilizer together because loosely woven or lightweight linen may require stronger support.
Yes. Avoid hoop marks by hooping the stabilizer and floating the velvet when necessary. Add water-soluble film over the pile to keep the ornamental details visible.
Yes, metallic accents can produce an elegant festive effect. Use the needle recommended for that thread, reduce the machine speed and make a test stitchout first.
No. This is a flat decorative machine embroidery motif depicting a gift box. It does not create a three-dimensional box or finished in-the-hoop container.
